I've been working on creating an individual box for each kept item.
the boxes all have an interior space that is 6 in by 6 in and are 3 inches deep.
The idea is that the item is dipped into wax which acts as a preservative and a coating and then place inside the box.
In my first mock up of the box i have burned a hindu mantra 'om shanti shanti shanti'
in hindu philosophy 'om' is the sound of creation and the universe and 'shanti' translates from sanskrit into 'peace'
After closing the box with the mantra facing inside the lid will be nailed shut.
This is another way of letting go and holding on. Its almost like making a small coffin for an object but knowing that it is in the box in some strange way may bring peace of mind.
